John Mayer eats Pocky?

I love having my co-workers fall in love with Pocky and Koala Bear cookies. In fact, today I introduced my manager to the Men’s Pocky. I guess in Japan only “Men” can handle dark chocolate? They were delightful. I checked John Mayer’s blog and he had a picture of Men’s Pocky! Awesome.

I just spent 15 minutes bitching out Washington Mutual. They have this whole new WaMu Free Checking account. Basically you get free checks for life. I e-mailed WaMu a couple of days ago and I received a very confusing e-mail back from customer service representative. He told me that I could get my current checking account changed to a WaMu Free Checking account by simply calling them. I called them today and after not getting my phone access code correct for the 3rd try, they transferred me to a customer service rep. After getting my phone access code squared away, I asked why me being a customer for almost 4 years, I don’t get to have free checks like all these new customers. She then said I could go ahead and change my account easily. She said I would have to go to a bank location to do this. I then read the e-mail I received from the previous customer service representative and she still said that she couldn’t change my account. She then said I could speak to her manager. About five minutes pass by while I am on hold and she tells me that it will only be awhile longer. Finally, she comes back and says that Jason will be helping me. He changes my account easily and told me that the changes should be in effect within 1 business day. I told him that current customers should benefit from these new perks since they’ve been with WaMu before these plans. I suggested that they just convert everyone’s accounts over since the new free checking account is better than what their old free checking accounts had. He mentioned that they’d have to get permission from their customers before making any account changes. I said that no one would be against this because they’d be getting more benefits. He said he totally agreed with me and thinks that they sent out inserts about the new free checking account when this whole promotion first launched a few years ago. Anyway, in the end he said he’d take down my suggestion. I apologized for being so frustrated, but why would two employees tell me different things about how I can get my account converted? I’ll be sure to order my free checks. It’ll be SO worth it!
