Well, I got my tax refund for both Federal and State! I’m so excited! I decided to use TurboTax this year instead of the typical FreeFile. Last year I had a very bad experience with HR Block’s online program. Basically, it screwed me over. I received my refund very quickly, but then I received a letter from the IRS saying I actually owed them money in March. I was in shock, and just paid them without questioning them. I then asked my dad to see if he had any idea why I was asked to pay. He referred me to an accountant, who looked over my documents and said that I skipped a whole section of the NY form. She had me file an amendment and that was that!
This year I decided to be good and have my refunds be deposited directly to my ING Savings Account. I figure it’ll be better for me to accrue interest rather than just see my checking account balance go up. Also, I’ve decided to use my tax refund for my vacation, so it’s important to make the most out of it. If you don’t have an ING Savings Account (who doesn’t these days?), let me know and I can refer you. We’ll both make some money!
Have a great Chinese New Year! It’s the Year of the Boar!
Oh, I got this cute keyboard cover for my MacBook. This way my keyboard won’t get dirty!!
Happy new year.
I still haven’t recieved my 2003 tax return. On Guam, tax returns take forever! I wish I could file on the Mainland. 2 weeks!!!
oh great i was thinking of going with HR online… but nevermind.
Teresa said: Don’t DO IT!! It’s cheaper for a reason. You could probably find TurboTax online. You would just need to pay to e-file. Or you could mail it in the old-fashioned way.
