It’s for SURE!

So, you guys know how I was so unsure about this Rome trip? Well I found out that we wouldn’t be able to book a free hotel, so my sister told me to rent an apartment! Perfect! It’s so much cheaper than a hotel. Also, you get your own kitchen. Not that I plan to be cooking while I’m in Rome! I’m going to be stuffing my face with pasta, pizza and gelato!

Oh, my tickets came in the mail. It’s official, I’ll no longer be a Europe virgin. Woohoo!

My Rome tickets!

I’m going to Rome!

I bought tickets last night for Rome!! This will be my first time ever in Europe. I am so excited. Oh yeah, the tickets were only $368! ) I’ll be going from 4/27/07 to 5/5/07. YAY!

Something I learned today

Okay, so I wasn’t too upset when our company started to block websites. It’s normal to block MySpace, Facebook, Friendster and other social networking sites, but yesterday, I tried to check out the class schedule for NYSC (my gym), but instead I saw this ugly blue “BLOCKED” page. Also, it said category “Health”. Apparently people at the big company who bought us don’t want us to be healthy! Today, I was able to access Banana Republic, but when I tried to check my website e-mail, I was greeted by the ugly blocked page once again. Apparently my site is listed under the category “Games”, which it is not! So weird! I believe employees spend more time trying to find a site that isn’t banned, so doesn’t that make them less productive?

Apparently we are almost using up all our bandwidth, so this is probably the main reason why they are blocking a lot of websites. I hope they never block GMail. I’ll be so upset if they do. What would I do all day? ( Hopefully they will let us have our websites back soon.

In other exciting news, it snowed for exactly 5 minutes in NYC today. It was pretty exciting. I actually thought I’d go through a winter without seeing any snow. The big topic of discussion on the tech sites today was the iPhone. What are your thoughts about it? I’d like to see it up close and personal. I have no desire to have such an expensive phone. I’d be afraid it’d get stolen or I’d drop it like my w600i. It looks a little too complicated for me. I just wonder how many people will actually shell out $400 or $500 for it! We’ll find out soon. Apple is too expensive for me. I’m happy with my iPod and Macbook. )

2007

…doesn’t feel very different than 2006.

My family (minus older sister) dined at fancy Morton’s on New Year’s Eve. The meal was delicious. I enjoyed my Porterhouse steak and Morton’s famous Hot Chocolate Cake.

Here’s a picture I took on my new Sony W810! I love how my laptop and phone both have bluetooth. It’s fantastic!

I better go to bed. I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather. I am so glad that it’s almost Friday. I totally need a weekend. )
