Comments should work now!

It was brought to my attention that my two commenters (Jeff and Alexis) were being blocked by my site! Anyhow, I installed a pretty Captcha plugiin. Please let me know if it works! I tested it with a bunch of bogus e-mail addresses and it seems to work. Yay. I also found out there is a new Tiger Administration plugin that’s compatible with WP 2.0+. How lovely. It makes your admin page look really nice.

I finally had KFC. I’ve been “craving” it for months. This is the first time in 3 years. Wow!

Widgets

I love the WordPress Widgets! It’s amazing that just a week ago, I had no idea how to use them. Now they make my site all pretty. Look to the right and you will see what I’m saying!

Happy Friday and I hope everyone has a fun New Year’s. I plan on spending it with my family. No more big bar events for me. I finally realized that paying $100+ for open bar and a “champagne toast” is not a good idea for me. Actually, it just pressures me to go drink crazy. If you know me, I’m a light-weight when it comes to drinking. I guess I really am a “cheap date”.

P.S. I want to go to Target this weekend so I can see if they have the Hello Kitty iPod Clock Radio! I heard it’s only $50 too. I’m soooo in.

Gallery revamped

Once again, I deleted my Gallery and reinstalled it. I was having issues uploading and deleting pictures. After doing some research in my error logs, the IT support guy and myself came to the conclusion it was a memory issue. Everything has been resolved! Here is a picture from my dad’s dinner.

Notice how it appears that I have short hair? That’s just my short “layer”. I love how it’s an illusion. I got you didn’t I?

I was looking at my spam comments that I got from just today and it baffles me that these robots generate so much spam on my lonely site. Do they realize that about 10 people visit my site a day and that I doubt any of them will click on a link that contains 50 characters?

Akismet has caught a lot of spam!

Tonight, I had a delicious dinner with my two sisters. The major highlight was the Belgian fries we had Pomme Frites.

Mmmm, double fried french fries. I love crispy fries!

Happy 59th, Dad!

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my wonderful dad. One more year until you’re officially old! )

Happy Holidays! Oh yeah, congratulations to Mike and Alice on their new baby. I now have my first cousin once removed on my mother’s side. Now I definitely want to visit CA to see my family!

Men in Trees

I just watched the first three episodes of this slightly addicting show. I am waiting for the “action” to start, but i MUST stop myself. It’s 1am and I must go to bed!

P.S. I hate taxes. I lost like almost 50% of my bonus. Boohoo!

New webhost (again)

I’m not sure how many of you lucky viewers were able to see my site in its full glory yesterday morning. Some reason my site was directed to a showgirls website. It was very shocking for myself. I immediately contacted my webhost. They resolved the issue by the end of the day, but I decided it was time to switch webhosts. We’ll see how long I last at ASO. So far so good though. The helpful tech support were able to move all my files to from my old account in just a matter of hours. My WordPress and Gallery seem to be running smoothly!

Hallelujah! Tomorrow, my favorite caterer will be sending us a Mexican lunch along with a cake, cheesecake and their FAMOUS CHOCOLATE CHIP cookies! ) I’m soo excited! )

A great end start to the weekend!

I had my entry all ready to publish, and Firefox crashed on me! My Firefox on this MacBook crashes so much! Ugh.

Anyway, a few days ago my big boss gave out self-appraisal forms to everyone on the team. He asked us to fill it out and then return it to him. Basically we had to rate ourselves (Outstanding, Very Good, Good, etc) and then put a number from 0-100. Since I don’t have a lot of self-confidence, I thought very hard about this. I didn’t want to rank myself too high for my boss to wonder what was I thinking? Also, I didn’t want to rate myself too low to make it seem that I’m a loser. I know that I work my butt off so I gave myself 90s and 95s on all the things. My average ended up being like a 94 or so. Not bad.

Today, my boss asks if he can speak to me. So he gives me my review. He basically says that I’m doing an awesome job. Then he told me my bonus! He gave me the maximum amount he could give. It’s more than what I got last year. I’m so excited. Now I won’t feel the pain as much when I pay off all my bills for my Christmas gifts!

I’m totally loving HSBC’s EasyView. Basically, I just need to login to this one site and I’ll have access to all my credit cards, bank accounts and investments. It even calculates your networth. It’s a GENIUS idea!

Have a great weekend! )

I’m dying to see “Pursuit of Happyness”. Will Smith’s son is sooo adorable.

Congrats Mr. Mayer!

He got nominated for FIVE Grammys! Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance (Route 66 from Cars), and Best Rock Album (for John Mayer Trio)! How amazing is that? I really hope he wins at least one award. I find it kind of weird JMT got nominated for rock when they are really blues. Oh well!

Go watch his AWESOME Gravity performance at Webster Hall. I was there. )

Oh here is my desktop on my Macbook. )

My new Macbook

I got it! I’ve spent the last day moving all my mp3s and important files to it. I also decided to try out Parallels and install XP just so I can work from at home. I also think, I’d like to have it just in case I get too overwhelmed by the “switch”. So far, it’s been really good. Liz has been a really patient teacher. Thanks!!

Just thought I’d keep you guys updated! For you Mac users, what are the must have programs I need? So far, I have: VLC, Firefox, Adium, Transmit, Candybar and JumpCut. Let me know, thanks!
