I went to the dentist for the first time in two years. I think I have dental anxiety. I get all worked up when I go to the dentist. This is because of my traumatizing experience a few years ago. Basically, I was told I had 17 cavities and a root canal from this new dentist. He grilled me on whether all I drink is soda or just ate too much candy. I do neither!

Anyway, I told the hygienist that I had a slight fear of dentists, and then she started to pick at my teeth. It was so terrible. She knew I was freaking out so she tried to make some jokes. Then she’s like, “I think you need a break. Go rinse your mouth.” I then asked what was in this blue liquid and she said “Liquor.” I then replied with, “I WISH!!” After what felt like an eternity, it was over. Then she cleaned my teeth. Finally, I got to meet the “hot” dentist my co-worker told me about. He looked at my many x-rays and said that I am okay for now and that I should come back in 6 months! WOW no cavities with a REAL dentist? How amazing!

After this long appointment, I went home and prepared to go to my favorite Chinatown restaurant, “New Yeah Shanghai Deluxe”. MM MM!
