I’ve been participating in my company softball team. I’ve never played baseball/softball before this even though I love watching the game. I’m scared of the ball and was lucky enough not having to field in the past few games. Yesterday we had our second to last game and there were just enough people to cover the entire field. This meant that I could not play DH (designated hitter). I ended up being the pitcher because apparently I have a good arm. When the second batter of Bear Stearns came up, I threw a pitch and I believe was called as a strike. I was excited and then threw my next pitch, and he whacked it right back to me and ended up hitting my foot!

So, that’s probably the first and only time I will ever pitch in a softball game. The scary part is that if we had used a real softball, my foot would have been broken!
