I am all moved into my new apartment. Thanks to my dad and his Taiwanese moving buddy. It was slow at first when we were moving out of my cave apartment. Once we arrived at the new apartment, there were no spaces for us to park. My dad decided that we would help these other people move in so we could get their spot after. Luckily, our mover found a spot. We finished unloading in like one hour. An elevator makes everything so easy!
There are some minor problems with the apartment. Hopefully, we will get it fixed soon because the super is very very attentive. He’s just really busy because a lot of people are moving in and out of the building in the last couple of weeks. I’m surprised he had my wall up in time. Today I came home with a door knob for my room! Great!
My boss informed me I will be getting my raise tomorrow. It will be retroactive May 1st, so tomorrow’s paycheck is going to be hefty! I can’t wait to see it. I confirmed with my friend who issues the checks (she’s in accounting) and she said that my pay increase has been put in. I will have to ask her how much my entire “raise” is since it doesn’t look so much on each pay check.
Woohoo! To top it off, I’ve been trying to sell my A/C on Craigslist.org since May 12. Since it was still cold then, no one was replying. I had to actually repost a few days ago and then suddenly the e-mails came rolling. It’s mainly because last weekend was HOT. People finally realize they need an A/C. Finally after 10 e-mails, a guy actually shows up to see the A/C. He was very nice and ended up taking it for $100. He agreed that Sharp A/Cs are great. So, now I just need to sell my closet. Anyone need one? I’m selling it for $80 and it’s great!
Good night
Congratulations! It must be so exciting setting everything up. I love moving into a new room so I can start over with everything.
Have fun with the raise!
A raise! Congrats! And retro pay too! Even better!
I hope you enjoy your new place. Albert will move to Washington DC at the beginning of July and I can’t wait to see what his place will look like.
