5 facts about me

Thanks to Cici, I’ve been infected.

Here are the directions: Write 5 random facts about yourself, and then list the names of 5 people whom you in turn infect. Also, leave a post to these people letting them know they have been infected.

  1. I’ve slept in a twin sized bed until the ripe age of 22. (That’s when I moved out. I now sleep in a luxurious queen sized bed!)
  2. I’m a picky eater. I look at food and if it looks disgusting in my eyes, I won’t even try it. This is why I’m scorned by my mom. It’s not my fault a lot of Taiwanese/Chinese food looks gross! eek
  3. I used to read books with my night light in bed. This is the main reason why my vision is terrible now.
  4. I used to LOVE sleep overs and always had sleep over birthday parties. One year we had a bake off and actually divided up into two teams and baked chocolate chip cookies. :-P
  5. The only reason I went to Sunday Chinese school and endure the boredom and torment was so I could get a delicious Roy Rogers meal after class.:giggle:

I infect: Cousin Jane, Trench, Ashley, Maura and Jing. I doubt anyone will actually do it! )

Now I have to go read Memoirs of a Geisha.

By the way, I hope you guys didn’t forget to watch Veronica Mars. Then go and vote whether the alternate ending was any better!

Why my landlord/management company sucks

-They do not speak English.
-They do not understand English.
-They do not fix apartment problems. (For example, our sink’s hot water is messed up and there is a steady stream of water. The super sent a guy over, and he told us just to leave it on and said it wasn’t a big deal since we don’t pay for water shock )
-They are rude on the phone and put you on hold.
-They are condescending on the phone.

I cannot wait until we move out of this place. Seven more months!!!

Anyway, my T-Day was pretty awesome. My family (along with cousins) went out to a hotel to have our lunch. It was pretty decent and I noticed we were the youngest group there. Everyone else were old senior citizens. Haha!:D I ate a lot of other food (Jane’s delicious banana bread, my mom’s pumpkin muffins, popcorn, pretzels, burgers, fries, pizza, cream puffs, etc.

Oh, I finally got to see Harry Potter 4! It was pretty awesome. I think 3 and 4 are my favorite ones so far. ) It’s pretty exciting to see how the books are transformed into movies. When I first saw how quidditch is played in HP 1, it was a surprise because I imagined something more like lacrosse, but wizards on on broomsticks. I had no idea they were flying that high and quickly. Even though my sisters, dad and I were probably the oldest people in the crowd, I enjoyed myself very much.

I hope everyone had a great delicious Thanksgiving weekend. I better get back to work! o ops:

Awesome site!

I was browsing the WallStreet Journal Online and I came across this useful article mentioning how to get to a human when calling the dreaded customer service of a company. Here is a very helpful website where it lists all the customer service numbers and how to get to a person in the shortest amount of time. It’s a gem I swear! )

So for any American readers, what are your plans for Turkey Day? I’m going to Massachusetts to hang out with my cousins. I’ll be staying at Cousin Jane’s lovely home. Thanks guys! I will definitely buy you some cream puffs ) I will make sure not to eat turkey because I am not a big fan of turkey. I think I’ll have some prime rib. )

I’m really excited because my favorite caterer is sending us free lunch at work. Woohoo! I love their food and most importantly their COOKIES!! grin

1 Year Anniversary

Wow it’s been officially a year since I started my first full-time permanent job. How exciting? Tomorrow we’re having cake for the November babies. I love my job! (Even though it is quite stressful sometimes!) grin I officially can participate in my company’s 401K. BOOYA!

By the way, Matsui has been re-signed by the YankeesTook them long enough. If they didn’t, I would still wear my Matsui t-shirt to the games!!

Knicks’ first win of the season

Who would have thought it would take Larry Brown 6 games before clinching a win with the Knicks. Good job (finally). Congratulations to A-Rod for winning the MVP even though things did not end nicely in LA ( . I guess he did well during the regular season. He just needs to work on his post-season play (as does the rest of the team!).

Okay, I’m going to go read my new book, “Goodnight Nobody“, by Jennifer Weiner.

Good night all.:tired:

Lazy Saturday

Okay, so I woke up at 1pm today. I didn’t leave the apartment until 3pm. I went to the gym like a good girl. I did some cardio on the elliptical. I even moved my bag so another gym goer could put her huge bag on the hook. )

After my tough workout I went to the local Gristede’s to get ripped off (yet again). I bought some chicken breasts for my dinner. I came home showered and made myself a delicious chicken, broccoli and penne dinner.

I watched two episodes of HBO’s Rome. I was quite shocked how much full frontal nudity HBO was allowed to get away with. Now that I think about SATC, I guess it’s not soo bad.

Now I’m listening to Chinese/Taiwanese music and reading the lyrics in Pinyin. It’s amazing how useful Google is. Tomorrow is the NYC Marathon. I give props to anyone who can run 26.2 miles on an early Sunday morning!

In website news, I upgraded my Gallery to 2.0. I successfully migrated all my albums. I don’t know if I like this new layout though. :stressed:

I think I will go read my latest Jane Evanovich book, “Three to Get Deadly”. Sometimes I wish my night job was as a bounty hunter. I could be the Asian Stephanie Plum! D Good night!
