My roommates are back!
Jun 30th
My roommates came back on Sunday. I’m no longer a couch potato.
I’m going to California in a day!
I got hot silver shoes for my dress. Yay! Is it bad that I’m hoping there is some sort of typhoon in Taiwan while my family is there enjoying the DELICIOUS food? Well I better get to bed. Good night!! :tired:
Baseball…
Jun 20th
So most of you know that I’m slightly obsessed with the Yankees. Well, my sister got me tickets to see them in August!! And they aren’t bleacher tickets. I’m really excited. :-P I do plan on seeing a game before that. I don’t care if I have to go by myself!
I’m still without roommates for another week, so I am pretty lonely. I went to see “Mr & Mrs. Smith”. It was an okay movie, but I think my mood made it seem worse than it really was. I never realized how I dislike people being late when meeting me. I don’t mind a few minutes, but anything more than 30 minutes is unacceptable. If you ever want to hang out with me, you better arrive on time!!
I just watched a VH1 show on Nicky Hilton. She seems so much more intelligent than her older sister, Paris. I was amazed by just how large her vocabulary was. She actually used the word “exude” in a sentence!
Well, I think I’m going to get ready for bed. I went to be too late last night and I definitely paid for it today.
Wow the Yankees won!
Jun 15th
Wow, before tonight’s game, the Yankees were 0-30 in games where they were behind after the 8th inning. Who would have thought that the Yankees would have won in the 10th with Giambi at bat! I’m actually happy that I watched the game to the end.
Yes I know we beat the Pirates (a bad team), but every game counts in the end. It would be embarrassing if we lost to the Pirates (they’ve had like 17 losing seasons).
Now I’m going to shower and lay in my bed without the a/c on because it is cool tonight!
P.S. I love my new position. It is so much more relaxing.
It’s finally cooling down!
Jun 12th
After a week of waking up in my own sweat, the weather is finally cooling down. Today was a nice day. It was hot, but not too humid. It was great! I didn’t do much today. My parents came to buy an A/C for my room. We went to PC Richard. There were a ton of people also looking for A/Cs. They had all the A/Cs outside of the store waiting for people to buy them. I bet they are doing great business. We ended up with a Sharp A/C. Hopefully, I will have it running tomorrow. I’m having someone install it for me.
In other news, I went to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. My friends already saw it and said that it was really great. I hoped I would think the same. I cried a lot during it. I just couldn’t control my tears! Actually, I just cried at one really emotional part. That America Ferrera really played her part perfectly.
Oh the best news is that I will be starting my new position tomorrow! I will be moving permanently to my new desk and everything. I get to come into work at 8 am!! My new boss said that my hours would be 9-5 pm, but I think he really meant 8-5, so that’s when I’m coming in.
Lovely! I missed the first two episodes of Entourage, but I found out that they’re replaying the first two episodes of this season on Friday. Since both of my roommates won’t be here for the next two weeks, I’m sure I won’t be having any plans this weekend.
I better get ready for bed. Good night!

The Joys of Cable
Jun 1st
So now I am surfing the internet legally with my own cable connection.
Today I arrived at my humble abode at 4:35 pm. This is insanely early for me since I usually get home at around 6 pm back when I commuted from Long Island. As soon as I came home, I got a call and found out that the cable guy would be coming an hour early. He arrived at 5 pm and as soon as he came him I felt a “weird” vibe from him. He was pretty friendly (overly friendly perhaps?) and made a lot of small talk with me. He then asked if my “boyfriend” commuted from Long Island to NYC to see me. This is where I made a huge mistake which then changed the whole conversation topic completely. I admitted that I was single (WHAT A MISTAKE!!) and then you guys can guess how the conversation went. I’ll give you a hint. He said, “A beautiful woman like you DOESN’T have a boyfriend?!” At the end of the installation, he proceeded to ask if I would invite him to my housewarming and right before he left he asked for my number. At that point I put down my foot and said “No”. He said, “Am I too ugly?” Haha, I don’t even remember what I said to that.
At least now I have cable TV and internet. This will be key since none of my roommates are here. Hopefully I can keep myself entertained. I think I will go watch the OC finale now.
No work tomorrow! For you curious readers, I will be putting up a picture of my apartment as soon as I decide to hook up my camera to my computer.
I hope everyone is well!
