My friends and I spent this weekend apartment hunting. Leslie and I went to see the famous Upper Westside apartment just “steps away from Lincoln Center”. It was very badly kept and we just didn’t like it at all. On Friday, we met with a real estate agent, who also happened to be my high school alumni. We saw this super cute apartment in the Upper Eastside. Lynne came in on Saturday and went to see it as well. She loved it too and we submitted an application yesterday. We need to submit the another one (by the management) and then send it in as well. This is my first apartment rental so I really don’t know how the whole process goes.
My friends and I are already planning on what furniture to buy. I think we’re counting our chickens before they hatch, but we can’t help ourselves!
By the way, I’m addicted to the new show, Grey’s Anatomy. It’s so great! I love Patrick Dempsey. I recognized him from somewhere and just found out that he was from “Sweet Home Alabama“. What a cutie!

oh gosh, i love grey’s anatomy too! it’s so good, and the music they feature is wicked awesome too! we need to talk about it together after every episode like giggly school girls. this will inevitably be easier for you to “get into character”…:)

Always great moving into your own place. It took me 5 months to find the condo im living in. I’ve been here for 5 years now. I remember first buying things for the place. IT ADDS UP FAST!

i did see it! burke was pimp, i thought he was going to take the wuss’ way out but he didn’t. and then he got to pimp up christina too. i used to hate her but now it’s grown into a general dislike. oh and patrick dempsey got some action too, i remember him from sweet home alabama too. he always reminds me of that speedman (or whatever his name was) guy on felicity. i don’t know why…maybe i miss felicity…
The wedding and reception were great…soooo many people at the reception…like close to 500!!!! I’m still planning on attending Alice’s wedding. See you there!!!
Let me tell you about my apartment search experience. Few month ago I was looking for apartment in Pasadena (I got a new job). I checked ads, went to agencies which offered houses, but nothing was as useful as apartment for rent site which I found by Google. First of all, I concentrated to my needs (considered the area I would like to live, made a list of my top housing priorities, considered amenities and etc. ), created my own note-taking system and allowed my self time. I could eliminate apartments which didn’t meet my needs. I saved time and money. I found good and affordable apartment and I’m very satisfied with my new home.
My advice for apartment search
Next time:
1) Use inernet (google.com always helps): search for apartment rental companies (some of them offer free services for apartment hunters)
2) Use google maps- to find your apartments
that’s all. It looks simple, but believe in me- effective
