Recent funny moments!

I was testing someone in her SAT vocabulary. I asked her, “What does ‘discord’ mean?” She replied with, “It obviously means disconnecting from the cord!” I looked at her in disbelief.

HAHAHA.

Yesterday, NY was surprised with a snow storm. Of course it had to get real bad during rush hour. I waited about 20 minutes for my dad to pick me up from the subway station. When my dad finally came to our meeting spot, I got in happily. I looked forward to warming up my wet feet. Turns out that our car gets stuck on an ice patch. My dad says in a serious tone, “You need to go outside and give the car a little push while I drive.” I looked at him confused, and he said, “I’m serious, go outside and push!” I got out and attempted to push our Honda uphill while a ton of cars waited at the red light. They were probably all laughing at me. This little girl with a huge coat struggling to push a car uphill. I kept sliding back on the ice too. shock

I’ve decided to write shorter entries so you guys don’t get too bored. Oh here is another piece of good news. I’m going back to CMU for Carnival weekend. I’m so stoked. I finally asked my boss for vacation. Then I finally got to use my Dividend miles with US Airways. Hurrah! I can’t wait to party it up with my girls. lol

Good night everyone!:tired:

  1. well at least we know she failed her SAT, that’s one less stupid person to deal with, lol.

Teresa said: She didn’t take her SATs yet. She’s been studying hard on her vocab though. -P

  2. Im still tryin to figure out how I manage over a 1200 on my SAT test. I must be a nerd! But, I dont study! This was back in the day. Now another student in my class scored a perfect 800 on his math section! Chinese Kid. Did terribly on the other sections though.

Teresa said: I did okay on my SATs. Fitting the perfect Asian stereotype, I did better on the math sections, but not much better. )

  3. the wind was better. i was leaving my graduate class at Fordham in the city, so waiting for the light to turn green, this gust of wind came through and this lady on the corner literally flew diagonally across the street! it was soo funny.. she tried holding on to a pole, but it was of no help.

Teresa said: I totally understand how that happened! When I got out of the subway station, I had to fight the wind. People were staring at me too! shock

  4. :bouncy: Oh gosh, the story with your car is too funny!

Teresa said: It was a bit embarrassing. When I told my mom what happened, I started to crack up. Only then did I realize just how funny the situation was )
