Most depressing day of the year

I was reading Gothamist and I came across an article about how today is the most depressing day of the year. The guy who came up with this has an entire formula in how to calculate how depressing each day is. Weird huh?

Like most people, I think I definitely have a case of the Mondays. Not only is the weather incredibly depressing (cold and cloudy), the toilets in my building are broken! How crazy is that. Pretty soon I will have to go to the coffee shop to use their toilet. ( It’s so cold outside. Earlier today I had a headache, but lucky for me I did not bring my bag of aleve with me today. To top it off, our office was fresh out of Excedrin. I debated about going to Duane Reade to purchase one of those travel packs of Advil. After what it seemed to be an eternity, I concluded that it was far too cold to go and buy Advil. I decided on ordering a large chicken noodles oup at my new favorite soup/chili restaurant, Guy and Gallard. I ordered their chili on Friday and tried one of their oatmeal raisin cookies. It was very moist and chewy. Just the way I like it! I really need to stop ordering lunch. Just because I don’t see it being deducting on my paycheck (yet), doesn’t mean I’m getting free lunch! eek

Lastly, I would like to give the Blizzard of 2005 a shoutout. It was a very terrible experience. I was stranded in NYC. My friend who I was staying with had to work all Saturday. My sister’s big birthday bash was cancelled on Saturday, which left me with no reason to be in NYC. By the way, Happy Belated 26th Diana!! ) I hope you spent it inside. cool Oh yes, I was wearing dress shoes the entire weekend too. Let’s hope we don’t get another “blizzard” for awhile. I’m not in school anymore, so snow does not equate snow day anymore. mad

I installed these cute smileys, if you guys haven’t noticed. I’m having a lot of fun using them. :geek:

Three hours until my most depressing Monday of the year is over.
