I don’t really have time to write anything meaningful, but I thought I’d show everyone my Christmas gift:
Now I’ll never be cold in NYC.
I will give you guys the Cliff Notes version of how I finally got this coat.
1) There were two of these coats at Roosevelt Field’s Macy’s
2) I went to Bloomingdale’s to browse some more. They did not carry my size.
3) I went back to Macy’s and the coats we no longer there.
4) I tried on an extra small hoping it would fit (at Bloomingdale’s–other side of the mall!). With a sweater, it would be too tight.
5) I went home and ordered it online at Hudson Trail.
6) Received an e-mail the next day saying they were out of stock.
7) Called Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s in the city. Only Bloomingdale’s cared to pick up and help look for this popular coat. Final outcome? They only had Large and Extra Large.
8) Ran to Herald Square to find the coat at Macy’s. Could not find it.
9) Dad went to Macy’s at both Flushing and Rego Park. Could not find it.
10) As a last ditch effort, my dad went to Macy’s at Manhasset and FOUND IT!
Now I am a happy camper. I came back from my workout and saw a big bag in the backseat. I WAS SO EXCITED. I’m going to wear my coat everyday even when it’s 50 degrees.
By the way, I was so stressed out at work because of this coat and all the work I need to get done before the New Year. Hopefully tomorrow will be much better since I am the proud owner of this marvelous down blanket/coat.
Good night!

super stylish coat, i love it. that’s a lot of work looking for a coat though. and isn’t macy’s/bloomingdale’s expensive?
Bloomingdale’s is more expensive than Macy’s, but the North Face is expensive in general. I’m not sure why my down coat costs more than my down blanket. It sure is warm though.
The things people do to get what they really want!!! Good to hear you got your coat.:):):)
