The Countdown Begins…

6 days until Spring Break! 1 quiz and 2 exams and I’m free. ) The weather is so beautiful today. I’m going food shopping with Lynne even though I don’t need to buy anything. I’ll probably end up buying food because I’m a pig like that! Yesterday, I didn’t do much. I went out to dinner with my friends. We started to talk about what we’re going to do during Spring Break. We want to go to a Miami Heat game. It’s only $15 including the ticketmaster’s convenience fees. We’re also going to go see Ernest Hemingway’s house and go fishing! Yay! I watched “Training Day” at like 2:30 am last night and I really tried hard not to fall asleep. I tried to eat some candy to stay awake, but it was hard even with that beautiful man, Denzel, on the TV. I can’t believe Denzel played such a horrible and corrupt police officer. How crazy. D I still love him though! I’m not doing much today. Just going to work on my study guide for International Relations.

I’m really started to like Maroon 5. I’m glad they’re opening for John Mayer. I just remembered about these hilarious videos my friends and I watched last night. Here is the original Star Wars kid video. Here is the edited version. It’s hilarious. I really like his low kick. It’s kind of sad to see that his leg can only go up that far. He looks like a typical CMU student. Haha. ) OK, I’m done. I’ll update more later!

Mid-Week!

It’s finally Wednesday! I’m so excited. I don’t really have much to update about. I’m watching General Hospital right now. Then I’m going to do some reading for my International Relations class. Today in aerobics, my instructor made us switch steps with people and there were all these different levels. It was pretty intense. I like when she switches things up. Spring break is in 9 days. I’m really excited for the John Mayer concert. Grace got the tickets in the mail today. The original ticket price was $35.50 while we paid a lot more for each ticket. I guess if I can’t find a job, I should just buy tickets and resell them on eBay. I’d make some good money!

So how many of you watch “One Tree Hill”? I’ve gotten hooked on it because Gavin DeGraw sings the theme song. I also find Lucas to be incredibly cute. Tonight is the OC night. That show is so crazy. It’s like the new Beverly Hills 90210.

Yesterday during my long night class, we learned about intellectual property and how Napster was an illegal establishment. Then we talked about Kazaa and all that other jazz. Basically thouse peer-to-peer programs cannot be sued because file-sharing is a useful idea. This whole thing follows the VCR defense. Although it was invented so people can watch videos, it also allows people to record TV programs and copy tapes, which is illegal. Since the VCR is a useful product, it cannot be shut down. Ok, so I really have nothing else to talk about. My life is quite boring. Bye!

Case of the Mondays

Even though I only have one class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I still dread Mondays. Why might you ask? Well, that just means that Tuesday from Hell is just around the corner. My Tuesdays are so long. I basically go from 9 am to 9 pm in classes. I don’t go straight, but I have class until 9 pm which really sucks. I despise night classes because I am usually so tired by then. Sometimes I will have just eaten dinner, which puts me into food coma. Then I can’t concentrate during my 2.5 hour class. Anyhow, there’s only 11 more days until Spring Break in the Keys. I’m actually getting kind of excited. I’m going to get a nice tan and relax.

Last weekend, I didn’t do much. On Friday, I went to play poker with my friends and the girls totally beat the guys. We won so many more times than them. We took all their money. ) One time, my guy friend was like, “Teresa, you shouldn’t bet those 25 cents! I’m warning you!” Then I was confused because I thought I had an ok hand (I had a flush). I decided to risk it and continued to bet. Turns out he had a triple and I had a flush. HAHA!! I got all the money. ) On Saturday, I went to see “Miracle”. It’s a movie about the 1980 USA Olympic ice hockey team. It was so inspirational and I thought Kurt Russell was quite good. The guy who played the goalie was soo cute. He definitely caught my attention. )

I can’t believe Sex and the City is over. I was lucky enough to download last night’s episode because we don’t have HBO at school. I’m really looking forward to watching it tonight. ) Time for work. Bye!

Spring in February

Wow, I surprised my 3 viewers with a new simple layout! I got rid of all my stupid pictures and such on the right. When I get bored, I might readd them somewhere. I’m too lazy to add another link to my layout so I can put all that stupid stuff there. Maybe I will make a link off my About Me page and then you guys can still see my weather pixie! Ooh! ) I’ve been working on this layout since January. Actually, I only worked on it for a day, and I finished it today since I’m so bored. I wrote a new bio so everyone go read it. Hah!

It was like 50 degrees today. It was truly beautiful. I might even upload a picture that I took on my camera.

That’s the school near my apartment. I know the quality sucks, but oh well.

Last weekend, I went home with my friends. Jon drove us home in his tiny little Rav4. It was cozy. It was the longest trip ever. First, Jon got a ticket when we were still in PA. Once we got to Carlisle, Grace and I recommended us take a shortcut. Three hours later, I started to see signs for “Binghamton”. I wondered if this was the Binghamton in upstate NY. Finally, Grace and I said something to Jon, and he said he had not seen any signs for the NJ Turnpike. Ten minutes later, we saw a “Welcome to NY” sign. By then we knew that we were far too north. We managed to skip NJ and go straight to NY. The last straw was when we saw a sign that said 78 miles to Syracuse!! At that point, we went to a rest area, and I called my dad for some help. He told us that we were really far north and that it would take us 3.5 hours to get back to NYC. We got home at 2:30 am, and it was too late to take the train to Grace’s house, so we had to stay at Jon’s apartment. It was awkward since I’ve only met his parents once before, and I felt weird sleeping in their sofa couch in the middle of the living room. During the entire 4 days, Lynne, Grace, Leslie, and I just ate and shopped all day long. Even though we didn’t do anything, we managed to get really tired. Oh yeah, I bought a really cute jacket at H&M. The price tag said it was $49.50, but I saw a light red line through it so I thought maybe it was on sale. I went up to the cashier and asked the guy there if it was on sale. He looked at me and he’s like “$29.50?” I said okay and bought it. My friends told me that there probably wasn’t a sale, and that the guy just gave it to me. Haha! If so, then I’m glad I asked him if it was on sale. I got this really cute off the shoulder shirt. I can’t wait to wear it, but I don’t ever dress up, so it’ll probably just sit in my closet.

On Friday, my friends and I went to our favorite little Italian restaurant in the village called, Artepasta. It was only 12.95 for a fixed dinner which came with an appetizer, entree, dessert, and tea or coffee. Pretty nice?! I highly recommend this restaurant to all you fellow New Yorkers.

My friends and I went to eat dim sum with my parents in Flushing on Sunday. It was soo delicious. I finally got to eat my favorite little baked pork buns. I also had a ton of other junk. For dinner, my mom thought we were having 4 extra people, even though I had told my dad that the 4 people weren’t coming. She managed to order SOO much food. I couldn’t believe it! She got 4 orders of scallion pancakes and like 4 orders of juicy buns. Here is a picture of our dinner.

As you can see, I couldn’t even fit all the dishes in my picture!

Hmm, so I don’t know what else to talk about. It’s Friday, and Grace, Lynne, and I are going food shopping because we have nothing in our fridges. We’re going to see Miracle tomorrow. That’s all I have planned so far.

Oh yeah, for all you Yankees fans. A-Rod is going to be on the team! I remember when I found out. We were at Jon’s apartment and we were watching the NBA All-Star coverage, and then there was a sports update, and it said that A-Rod might be traded to the Yankees for sucky inconsistent Soriano! They said it was questionable. Then it was confirmed a few days later. I’m sooo happy! It’s cool because A-Rod said he would give up his short stop position and be a baseman. Isn’t that awesome? Jeter and A-Rod are going to be on the SAME team!! I’m really excited for the season to start. I really want to go to a game this summer. ) OK, enough with my ramblings. I hope you guys liked my new layout ;D

24 Days Until…

I see John Mayer again! Grace and I bought tickets on eBay to see him in Miami, FL during our Spring Break! As Grace would say, “AWESOME!”. Haha. We have Section 1, Row 7 seats. It’s going to be soo nice to see him up close. When we saw him in Philly, he was actually farther away than we expected. There was this whole pit section that the seating chart didn’t show when we bought tickets. Even though we were in Row E, we were still pretty far from Mr. Mayer. I definitely will have to charge up my camera so I can get some really good shots of him. )

My interview with Deloitte went horribly. I was given a case about accounting fraud. I had no idea what to say. My interviewer must have thought I was incredibly stupid. At least, we’ll find out by the end of this week if we made it to second round interviews. For my last interview, I waited about a month before finding out. Anyhow, the interviewer himself was quite nice. I wrote him a thank you e-mail, and responded the next day. This is the first response I got from an interviewer. Maybe that’s something good?

My IR exam was okay. All the questions were from the study guide. I was confused about some of the questions though. I hope I got a high B or an A. This one girl finished the exam in 20 minutes. That was amazing. I think we will be getting back the exams today. Ahh, I always dread getting my tests back. You’d think by now, being a Senior in college, I wouldn’t be as worried, but in reality I’m as worried as ever. I don’t want to ruin my QPA. Right now I will be graduating with honors, and if I mess up this semester, it might not happen. Ugh!

I’m going home on Thursday. I can’t wait! My friends and I will finally be able to watch Sex and the City on the night it airs. I can’t believe there are only TWO episodes left. We just saw Sunday night’s show, and it’s kind of sad. ( Grace told me that they filmed 6 different season finales so even the actors/actresses don’t know which ending will be shown. That’s so crazy. OK, I really need to go to bed. I have to wake up in 7 hours. Good night!

:)

Last night, my friends and I finally booked tickets for spring break. Yay! I feel so much better now. So much more relaxed. I’m guessing everyone watched the Superbowl last night. I kept checking for the score, but I watched Queer Eye for the Straight Guy instead. I love that show! I never realized how much I miss Bravo here in Pittsburgh. They had a 3 episode marathon on NBC during the Superbowl. ) This week is going to be pretty busy. I’m not looking forward to it at all. I just thought I’d keep you guys updated. Oh yeah, I spent like $75 at Wal-Mart. It’s pretty crazy. I bought all these things. D I can’t believe V-Day is in 2 weeks. Once again, I have no Valentine–the story of my life! I’m glad I have aerobics today. I feel like a fattie for not exercising on the weekends. :[
