i can’t believe it’s been almost a month since i’ve been in pittsburgh. how crazy is that? i have my first exam this coming friday. i’m kind of nervous, but it was going to happen sooner or later. last week was a bad week: i had all this job search junk going on. i really hope someone calls me back for an interview. it would really boost my ever-deflating self-esteem. i had a good weekend. on saturday i woke up at 9:45 am and immediately went to the basement to do my laundry. i totally beat the rest of the building. i finished my laundry by 11:30 am. at the same time i was doing laundry, i wrote my idea paper for social psychology. around 1 pm, emily and i went to quizno’s for lunch. i had my lovely caesar salad. it was delicious. i came back at around 2 pm and did my web design powerpoint presentation on ebay. did you guys know that in just this year alone, ebay will do over $30 billion dollars in transactions. that greater than all but 70 countries’ gdps! it’s pretty insane because i was looking up the financials for ebay, and the growth rate for some numbers are out of control. there are 27,000 categories in ebay, and 8 of them make over $1 billion a year. wow! so crazy. do any of you guys know how the name “eBay” came about? well the guy who invented this site was from the san francisco bay area. the e stands for electronic (obviously). pretty witty huh? after i finished my powerpoint, i made a flow chart of my midterm project. i plan on doing a john mayer fansite. maybe if it’s really good, i will actually launch it. grace, julyan, and i went to see “finding nemo” at 8 pm. wow mcconomy was so packed. that movie was so awesome. since grace still had a car for the weekend, we went food shopping after the movie. i bought all this food. i will be having turkey sandwiches a lot! we got home and decided we’d be cool and go clubbing at “touch”. that club was pretty fun for pittsburgh. the only thing i didn’t like was that the dance floor was kind of tiny. also, the guys at the club were a little too old for me.

on sunday, my group of corporate strategy met up. we decided to do our project on the supermarket industry. specifically, we want to do giant eagle. it recently opened a gas station, and we wonder why/how giant eagle is trying to diversify its products. it’ll be interesting to do research about this because i really don’t like giant eagle because it’s always overpriced and the produce is never fresh. i wish super walmart was closer to my apartment. i’d be in heaven! i went to work after the meeting and then i met up with grace to go to the waterfront. we only had a couple of hours because everything closes at 6pm on sundays. we stopped by giant eagle because there were new weekly specials. i bought some grapes, apples, and deli turkey. hehe. oh yeah, grace bought home an apple pie from west virginia. it was very delicious. we decided to go see “once upon a time in mexico” because grace still had the rental car. it was an entertaining movie, but i wish i had seen “desperado” before watching the sequel. i can’t believe it’s monday. i have to go to my two classes, gym, and then to work. after that i will come home and make dinner. then i need to start on my hw. i’m still debating on whether i want to do the case study for this week. it’s on southwest airlines, and it’s really interesting. i just don’t know if i’ll have time. i need to start studying for macro. ahh. okay i’m going to get ready for class. bye <3

i don’t really have anything to say. this week has sucked a lot. the level of suckiness culminated today when i was locked out of my room because i left my key inside. my hw was in the room, and my roommate could not come back to let me in. yeah. whatever. i didn’t get to go to the toc as a result. my strat professor was nice enough to let me email him my hw AFTER class. he made a rule saying we had to submit it before class started. i emailed him about my situation and he was nice enough to let me email it. he’s so nice! i went to a networking event today and it really sucked since not a lot of recruiters showed up. how pathetic. megan and i had a lot of cheese though. ok i’m going to go get ready to go out. i need to realize that i’m going to be unemployed upon graduation. i hate the real world.

wow i can’t believe it’s already sunday. where has the weekend gone? well i will summarize what i did in the past 2 days. on friday, i went to class and worked out. i’ve been working out longer this week to prepare for lynne’s 21st birthday. i came back from the gym and showered. then tania called me and asked if i wanted to do dinner with her. we ended up going to qdoba. i ordered this fajita burrito thing. i didn’t know burritos always have rice in them. oh well. i felt so bad eating the rice, so at the end i dumped some out. next time i will get a quesadilla because they are huge and have more chicken. after dinner, we walked home from oakland and went to se the 8 pm showing of “bend it like beckham”. wow that movie was awesome the only thing bad was that i tried to save seats for people, so i used my hoodie jacket to save a seat. it turns out the seats were being saved for other people. i forgot i left my jacket on the seat in front of me. after the movie was over, my jacket had disappeared with the jerks. oh well. i walked home without a jacket. this might be the reason why my nose is stuffed up. when we got home, i helped grace and lynne prepare for her party. we cut up oranges, apples, limes, and lemons to make sangria. hehe. it was fun. then we played texas hold em. that game is so much fun when you’re betting with skittles. i’m much more daring when i’m not using my money.

on saturday, julyan made this yummy brunch for us. it was great! she didn’t even include any carbs. how sweet of her after brunch, grace, juan, and i headed to ross park mall so we could buy lynne’s bday gift. grace got new glasses (they look great). juan looked for some kind of sneakers at like 4 different sneaker stores. someone came up with the idea to build-a-bear for lynne. so juan and i split a bear. i got to stuff it and we even dressed the piggy. it was so much fun. they even have little shoes for these teddy bears!! i bought a cute tube top at charlotte russe. it was for lynne’s party. i bought a couple of things at american eagle. i finally used my parents’ simon gift certificate!

we got back from the mall and i decided to do laundry. wow what bad timing to do laundry. there were 4 broken machines. and it seemed that everyone decided to start doing laundry at 5 pm. when a washer stopped, i waited like 10 minutes for the owner to come and remove his/her things, but he/she didn’t come. i ended up dumping out two washers. i felt bad, but at least i covered their underwear with their towels so people don’t see them. i ended up finishing laundry at 6:15 pm. yay. at around 7 pm, my friends and i head to “uncle sam’s subs” to get a nice greasy sub with fries. this was our one carb day, so grace, lynne, and i were enjoying it. i got the hot italian sausage sub. grace got the pepper steak and we split them. i just remembered i have some leftovers. hehe. oh well maybe i’ll eat it tonight.

lynne’s birthday was really slow to get started. people didn’t really start showing up until like 12:30 am. haha. it was fun though. i took a bunch of pictures because i was kind of bored and didn’t really know anyone there. all in all it was a good night. we ended up walking all the way back to cat man at 3 am. fun stuff huh. i have work in about an hour and half. then i will go do macro homework with megan. hopefully the macro hw isn’t too bad. i should go look at it now. sorry for my boring blog. just wanted to update you guys with what happened! <3
