ok so me and cici are talking about going on diets and looking all hot and sexy for the summer. so i was calculating our BMIs. then we were talking about how asians need to have lower BMIs to be considered healthy. so this is what i found:
The WHO consultation set the ‘normal’ BMI range for Asians from 18.5 to 23, but it decided that individual countries should establish their own high-risk, or obese, cut-off points based on their own morbidity and mortality data, Dr Yap, a member of the Singapore Health Promotion Board, said.
wow i’m barely in the normal range!! ahh. i feel so fat now. also, on prevention.com i did a calorie counter. it said that my 30 min workout on the treadmill burns about 272 calories, which is equivalent to a 1/2 cup of haagen-dazs ice cream, or a hot dog, or a 2 oz croissant, or 1 snapple strawberry kiwi. hahaha!! hilarious. it makes me feel that my whole working out thing is worthless. grr. it’s almost lunch time. i should just skip it.
