i’m really against diets, but i’m kind of following the south beach diet. it’s a modified atkins diet. i am totally against the atkins diet because i love carbs too much to totally give it up along with veggies and fruit! i read this article about low-carb diets versus low-fat diets. it’s kind of interesting. so if you guys are in the mood of trying a new diet, the south beach diet seems to be the hottest diet around. =) you can lose up to 13 lbs in two weeks. it’s kind of crazy. i think i’ve already lost 5 lbs in a week. besides eating a lot healthier, i exercise 4 times a week. i run on the treadmill for 30 minutes. i also do ab stuff. anyway, just thought i’d share that with you guys. gnite. <3

in other news…
i have concluded that rain in nyc sucks almost as much as a whole winter’s worth of rain in pittsburgh. i missed my morning bus by 5 minutes (i think). this led to me waiting 30 minutes for the next bus in the rain. i go to my interview, and the office is so ghetto that there isn’t even a sign that says the company name. when i walk by the door, i hear a man talking with another man. it sounds like they are in the middle of a meeting. at 1:50 p.m., i decide to knock on the door to make sure this is the right company. the guy asks, “who is it?” i answer, “i’m teresa, i’m here for an interview.” the guy opens the door and i see an office cluttered, half the size of my room! it was weird. so the guy apparently forgot about his “2 o’clock” and told me to wait in this other dirty room. i waited and he came in and we talked for like 10 minutes at MOST. i think it was more like 5 minutes. then at the end he’s like sorry to cut this short, but i am in the middle of a meeting. so we stand up and i put away my notepad and pen. then he says, “i’m impressed with your note-taking skills. you are the first person i’ve interviewed who took notes.” haha. oh man. i was supposed to stay in the city and play with emily, but the weather got to me and i backed on emily. so i take the f train to jamaica. i managed to catch the train. then when i walk out at 180th street, i see the n22 bus pulled on the side of hillside avenue. i run to the bus, but alas it was not meant to be. i missed it by a minute. this led to another 30 minute wait for the next bus to arrive. during this time, i saw a scuffle with a policewoman in her car saying “go home go home!” it was kind of scary. i’ve always thought jamaica was a safe place, but then again, that’s where famous crack dealer 50 cent grew up. and he got face shot! during this 30 minute wait, i saw about 3 n6 buses to hempstead and numerous queens buses. grr. to top off my day, a truck decided to get close to the curb and splash my suit with dirty water. i guess i will have to get it dry cleaned.

i finally get home at around 4:30 p.m. i go on the computer a chill for a little bit. i know i must go work out, because i’m going to be super hot teresa this summer. boys all over nyc will fall in love with me. =) around 5:40 p.m. i finally get off my big butt and go work out on the treadmill. 30 minutes and a bucket of sweat later, i am done! yay. i always feel so accomplished after a workout. if you guys haven’t noticed already, this is going to be a superlong babbly blog. i just remembered that i need to talk about my interview that i had yesterday. so here it is:

yesterday i went to interview at flying point media. before i came for the interview, i already spoke to the person and he told me that they were in a shared office space and what not. i prepared myself for the worse. on my way to the office, i was crossing the street when i heard someone go, “mmmmmmmmhmmmmmmmmmmmmm”. i turn around and this old african-american man was still looking at me. oh my god. i felt so disgusted. yuck. he was crossing to the same side of the street as me, so i quickly changed my mind and walked the other way. what a dirty man! anyway, the interview was pretty laid back. the guy turned out to be pretty good looking and young ) i’d love to work there. plus it’s paid, which is way better than my other internships that i’ve interviewed for. i really hope i get it. i hope i get the first investors internship if i don’t get flying point. ok i’m done babbling. since it’s going to be raining for the next week, i don’t plan on leaving the house unless i’m going to work. haha. i’m such a hermit. i think i’m going to bake cookies tomorrow or tonight. good bye.
