ok so i will give you guys a cliff notes version of my spring break. on saturday morning at 7:30 a.m., my friends and i left the dreaded city of pittsburgh. the problem was that there were detours to get out of pittsburgh, and we didn’t finally get out until 8:30 a.m. haha isn’t that sad? so we drive and drive and we finally get out of crappy pa, and where do we end up? the great state of west virginia where there is no cell phone service! of the three phone services: verizon, t-mobile, and at&t, none of my friends had any service for the 3 hours in west virginia. it sucked a lot. i saw a lot of cows. wv is a boring state. after wv, we entered virginia, north carolina, south carolina, and finally georgia! woohoo. the first day we drove about 12 hours to atlanta. we saw some confederate bumper stickers. it was a very interesting experience. one said “keep it waving”. southern people sure have a different way of thinking.

after staying a night at atlanta, my friends and i got up early and left for destin, fl. we had to drive through the horrible state of alabama. i’ve never seen so many trailers in my life. we stopped in montgomery for some food. i think a kid screamed when he saw me. i don’t think he’s ever seen an asian! hehe. at a walmart in pensacola, and older lady asked hilary (the only non-asian) if we were international students. haha. that was funny. at around 6:30 p.m. we finally arrived in destin, fl. we went food shopping and then made our late dinner. the condo was soo nice. it had a great kitchen. grace and i got the big bed becase we planned out the entire trip. there was even a washer/dryer. ok, i think i’m babbling too much, so i’m going to write extended entry!

i’m bored so i guess i will do the boring friday five:

1. If you had the chance to meet someone you’ve never met, from the past or present, who would it be?
hmm that’s a hard question. i think i’d like to meet aristotle. i’d love to talk to him about his thoughts and philosophies. hehe. actually, i have no idea who i’d like to meet. there are so many people!

2. If you had to live in a different century, past or future, which would it be?
i’d like to live in the future because i wonder how different it will be.

3. If you had to move anywhere else on Earth, where would it be?
hmm. does this mean i have the mony to live there? maybe hawaii or california. somewhere is nice weather.

4. If you had to be a fictional character, who would it be?
if i was a fictional character i’d like to be nancy drew. nothing better than just solving mystery cases and not going to college!

5. If you had to live with having someone else’s face as your own for the rest of your life, whose would it be?
wow these questions are really hard. i think i’d love to live with zhang zi yi’s face. she’s so pretty. i think i’ll take her body too.

wow those questions were hard to answer. well i’m going to florida tomorrow. woohoo. spring break is going to RULE. <3

yay it’s almost here. i’m still enjoying the warm weather here in pittsburgh. my friend was telling me that her mom won’t let her go to london for spring break because of the impending war. doesn’t that suck? i guess it would be better if she didn’t because it could get dangerous. now i’m glad that my friends and i will be driving to florida. that’s the safest way to travel right now.

anyway, today has been an ok day. i went to international marketing and i asked my professor about the project that’s due on friday. once again we will not be having class on friday. doesn’t that rock? i’m so tempted to skip managing across cultures as well. that would make my so grand. tania and i went to winner’s for lunch. we both got hot fried noodles. the owner asked tania if she wanted it spicy. she’s like hmm. and he’s like how about medium? so she got medium. i copied her! whoa medium is still pretty spicy! i don’t know how koreans do it. i think they must have burned off all their tastebuds or something. i almost went to dave and andy’s after lunch, but i controlled myself. hehe.

so for my managing across cultures class, my group is doing japan as our country. i emailed my old accounting professor since he’s japanese and asked if he could help us. wow, he’s been soo helpful. he even brought me to the mba admissions office to speak to the admissions lady. she’s going to email me a couple of current japanese mba students. this is going to be so great.

well i don’t feel like going back to my apartment so i’m going to buy a super expensive sandwich at gsia and then sit at a table (alone) and study for intl law. maybe then i won’t look as pathetic and loserish. i really hate eating by myself in public. it makes me feel so self-conscious and that everyone is watching me. ok well this was a really long blog. oh yeah, i finished all my taxes and financial aid stuff yesterday! hurrah!!!!!!!!!! life is good. <3

spring break is so near. =) i have my presentation for oral comm soon. i’m so stressing. ahhh. i must go borrow a laptop since no one told me that i can borrow their laptop. meanies! i must go practice.

what a beautiful day it is. i really want to go get some ice cream at dave & andy’s, but julyan went without me! maybe i will get some later with tania. we’re supposed to go to winner’s for dinner. anyway, check out my weather pixie! it’s like 61 degrees and sunny. so beautiful. too bad i’m stuck inside doing fun hw. well just thought i’d give you guys an update. oh yeah, yesterday i went to see “25th hour” with edward norton. mmm. what a hottie. ok i better get back to work. <3

ok so my international law exam wasn’t so bad. i loved how my professor decided to put questions from another class in our exam. that was so classic! he’s such a lazy fart. during the exam he was playing games on his pda. haha. this one kid left the exam after like 20 minutes. it was insane. i did the exam like 3 times. i handed it in at 7:25. yay. i hope i did ok on it. i’m in the middle of working on my 3rd oral comm project. hurrah. spring break is next week! yay. this weekend is going to suck. i actually have to do homework! eww. that sucks a lot. hmmm. i think i will plug my host, mg2.org. thanks for dealing with all my crap, mike. if you want free hosting, go apply! you can even apply under me since i have no hostees anymore because the one guy was deleted. anyway, back to hw and internship searching! <3

hi everyone! once again the skies are clear and i think that spring is arriving shortly! woohoo. it’s suppose to go up to 50 by tomorrow. i can’t believe this semester is already half over. =D yay. i have to study for my international law midterm tonight. it’s not going to be fun at all. istill have to read 5 more chapters. i already “read” them, but now i’m “reviewing” them for the exam. i hope the exam isn’t that hard. i went to every single class even though like only half of the class showed up. life is good i think. i need to start working on my next oral comm presentation. you know what? i think i’m getting more comfortable when giving my presentations. yay. oral comm isn’t as bad as i think. i’m lucky my professor is so cool and only grades you based on your own improvement. anyway, i better get back to work. boohoo. laters! <3

today was such a great day. first it was sunny and warm. i think it was about 50 degrees today! we got out of oral comm early. woohoo. i went to the gym early. it was good stuff. yay! so i sold my motorola phone on ebay for 158 (+$12 for shipping). i kind of feel bad for the person who decided to buy such a horrible phone, but it’s his choice! i just hope he paypals me soon. hrrmmm. what else is new? well next week is going to be nuts. argh. i am NOT look forward to next week at all. it sucks a lot. all these assignments. then the week after i have a presentation (again). ahh. tomorrow i have to watch my past two presentations with my group and they will critique me. it’s going to be brutal i think. i’m such a horrible public speaker. oh well. did i mention that my international law textbook is super boring? well it is! i don’t think i’ve ever read a chapter without falling asleep. what’s wrong with me?! ok real world will be on in an hour. from the previews, alton and irulan are going to hook up finally. we’ll see what happens!! <3

wow i can’t believe the weekend is almost over. i did nothing yesterday. julyan made me curry for dinner. it was great. we baked cookies too. hehe. it was fun! then we were on our way to see “stealing harvard” when ji called me and asked if we still wanted to go clubbing! so we went to matrix FINALLY! it was soo much fun. too bad there were so many old men in suits watching us. that was kind of freaky. anyway, it was much fun. now i am at the library working. actually, my boss isn’t here today, so i’m just sitting here surfing the net. it’s so much fun. i think spring is really here. it feels so warm. like in the 30-40s! awesome. i can’t wait until spring break. that reminds me, i’m going to the gym after work! i gotta look semi-decent for spring break. ok i better get back to “work”. <3
