hey guys! i had a great weekend in massachusetts. my family met up with my cousins at a chinese buffet. it was ok. i have to admit that ny chinese buffets taste better. after we stuffed ourselves, we went home and i didn’t do much. just sat around and talked to my cousins. so guess what guys? my cousin ann is getting married in may! i’m so excited that i will be attending my first wedding.
congratulations ann and rob! hehe. ok let’s see what else. on saturday i went to get my haircut present at this fancy hair salon in wellesley called dellaria salon. my hair stylist was really nice. he had a thick boston accent. it was funny and cute. haha. i had the longest haircut ever. he told me he was only cutting an inch, yet it took him 45 minutes. i guess he was being very precise. i liked my haircut very much. thanks diana! he kept asking if those were my sisters sitting and waiting. i said yeah. then my cousins came in, and he asked about them. i guess he doesn’t see many asians. hehe. after my haircut, we all went to see lord of the rings: the two towers in woburn. it was good the second time. i love smegol. he’s hilarious. i’m not sure if i’m spelling his name right, but oh well.
after the movie, we had this modified chinese banquet at 6:30 p.m. after that long dinner, we went home and started to open our gifts!
i got 3 cds: usher, john mayer (room for squares), and michelle branch! woohoo! i also got a george foreman grill! yayayay! i got clothes and a coach change purse. oh yeah i got this compact flash reader that let’s me upload pics from my digicam automatically. it reads my compact flash as another drive. it’s really awesome. i want to say thanks to everyone for all the great gifts. it was a wonderful belated christmas.
ok so this is going to be a long blog, if you want to read what happened last night at a flushing chinese restaurant, click more.
ok so my family and i stopped in flushing for dinner on the way home from boston. we ate at this chinese restaurant called gou bu li. it’s on 40th road. anyway, it’s run by mainland chinese people. we came in and we were led to this table that was right next to this other group of people who were smoking. we asked them to stop smoking, because it is the law in the nyc. also, there were signs in the restaurant saying “No Smoking”. the waitress also asked the group to stop smoking. we relocated ourselves farther away from the smoking people. the guys kept smoking. then my dad asked them to stop again. one guy asks my dad if he’s drunk in chinese. and my dad gets mad and says no. he threatens to call the police. about five minutes later he goes outside and makes his call. during this time, the table next to us decides to start smoking as well. the waitress told him to stop as well. i told him to stop too. he listened. to keep this stupid story short. the police finally came, but the drunk guy had already left by then. also, the guy next to us got rid of the evidence by asking the waitress to throw it out. after the police came and told us they couldn’t do anything since we weren’t the management and that there was no evidence, the owner asked started to talk to us. she was like oh i didn’t know people were smoking. we were like hello. one of your waitresses told them to stop. and like the waitress wouldn’t say anything. blah. people are stupid. then my mom was like we just want to warn you that you can get in deep trouble, so it’s your job to tell people to stop. diana and i were telling our parents what to say. diana told my mom to say that this isn’t china. i told them to say that it’s better to lose one customer rather get shut down. my dad also told them that they can call the police themselves if someone refuses to stop smoking. anyway, the point of this rambling is that some people are so stupid. they come here thinking that america has the same laws of their own country. they need to realize that america has laws, and that they aren’t in china anymore! ok, that is my rant. for those who have read this far, i commend you all. thanks!
most of these “chinaman:f.o.b” LOL are rude and thinks they own flushing, sometime you just have to ignor these ppl cos they’re just stupid!! Next time you tell them you’ll call INS and deport their asses..LOL.
hey chihiro, watch who you call chinaman you nip jap. as for you teresa, let me give you some advice, that restaurant you went to sucks, if you want to go to a really good chinese restaurant in flushing, go to 38th avenue and main. it is across the street from a place that is called “minnies” which by the way is the only da been low like a chinese fondue) chinese restaurant in flushing. excellent prices and quite a novelty, especially on a cold winters night. anyways, don’t you find woburn really boring? i do. sorry to rant, but i cam across your site and thought it was kind of cool, especially since it seems you are from nyc like myself. by the way, you’re kind of cute.
how do these people know woburn??? GRRR!!! Woburn is NOT boring because I AM HERE!!! So there.
