i just thought i’d give everyone an update. it’s snowing outside! it’s sooo cold in pittsburgh. i don’t think our heat is working properly. oh yes, yesterday i woke up at 8 am to go to finance office hours. i must say, it was well worth it. i finished homework #7 at noon. it was crazy. the first ta was not very helpful. he was very mean in fact! i ended up asking my classmates for help. oh yeah, i better not talk about finance anymore. one of my finance tas reads this stupid thing. if you’re still visiting my site, hi finance ta! haha. ok i’m going to go finish watching “providence” then i’m going to go see “my big fat greek wedding” again. that movie was sooo funny. i think greeks and chinese people are very simliar. our lives revolve around gossip and food. oh yeah, i made a good dinner tonight. i threw some tomatoes, corn, and egg together and wah la, i had a dinner! i made some rice too. one of these days, i will perfect my rice cooking skills. anyway, 4 more days before i’m in new york.

hey guys! i had an exciting weekend, well kind of. on friday, grace, julyan, and i went to squirrel hill to rent some movies. we ended up getting “emma” and “in the bedroom”. i told julyan that “in the bedroom” was supposed to be good. i had heard good reviews about it plus on the tape cover it said “nominated for 5 academy awards”. so we get the videos and have dinner at panera. mmm. frontega chicken is the best. we go to their apartment and watch emma. it was a cute movie, but the british accents made me sleepy so i took a short nap during the movie. i woke up at the most important point of the movie. hehe. after the movie, julyan and i went to these guys’ place to watch “in the bedroom”. wow that movie truly sucked. there was a good one hour where there was absolutely nothing going on. we all knew what was going to happen, but it didn’t happen until the end. how stupid. i have no idea how it got nominated for so many awards. craziness!

on saturday, i met with my marketing group to do our hw. we got it done in like 30 minutes. haha. it was so easy. i love our easy homeworks. after the hw, julyan and i went to her place to do some production homework. we then decided to go to waterfront. i told her that we were going to see “the ring” no matter what happens! so we ended up getting to waterfront at around 6 or so. we bought tickets for the 9:05 p.m. show because our friends wouldn’t be able to make the 7:35 p.m. show. tania told us that that the movie was sooo scary. she recommended us to bring our teddy bears. we were so scared. hehe. ooh i got this really cheap gap bag for $6.99. it was soo cheap. i used the bag to hold all my other bags. julyan and i walked through the rain for like 3 hours. we are troopers! heehee. we went back to the movie theater at around 8:30 or something. we met up with our friends and went to sit down. i was already scared when the first scene started. by the middle of the movie, i was hiding behind my coat. haha. my friend next to me was like “don’t hide, it’s not that scary!” whatever. he tried to hide behind my coat at one time of the movie! i didn’t let him. haha. anyway, i really liked “the ring”. everyone should go see it! we tried to put the pieces together after the movie ended, but we still don’t understand some parts of the movie. oh well! i want to watch the japanese version of this movie now. ok so if you guys haven’t noticed, this is going to be a really long blog. so if you want to hear about what happened after the movie, click more

yay the week is almost over. tomorrow i’m getting back my crappy finance exam. i just got this email from my friend who saw a finance ta. he gave her all the bad news. i got the first question wrong. hurrah. life sucks. i am so not looking forward to getting my exam back. wahh. feel bad for me this exam is worth 20% of my final grade. the final is worth 50% of my final grade. isn’t that just major suckage?

anyway in other news, my mis presentation is tomorrow. we’re going to practice it tomorrow. our powerpoint is nice. hehe. sangitha and julyan put my picture on the first slide. it was flying with this airplane. haha. they are so crazy. good thinks sangitha removed my ugly picture! i think we will do ok on this mis presentation since we are going to our professor’s office hours like everyday! haha. he must think we are nuts. ok well, i have to get ready or something. bye! <3 sorry for the boring blogs. :( i can’t wait to go home and have me some good home-cookin! :D

nothing exciting happened this weekend. today i went to work and studied for my mis exam. hurray. i hope i do ok on this exam. *prays*. i just realized that i seriously messed up my last mis hw. oh well. life goes on right? so i guess my dream of being on dean’s list this semester is slowly fading away. i want to say a big thank you to my heartless finance professor for that! go clementi! hehe. ok i’m not bitter. mis will be my last exam before finals. yay. i can’t wait to go home for thanksgiving. i’ve had enough of school! *growl* good night!

rather than talk about my depressing finance test, i am going to do the friday five:

i kind of voted for the 2000 presidential election. i didn’t realize that you had to mail in your ballot before election day, but it didn’t matter because new york voted democrat. yay.

2. Do you know who your elected representatives are?
actually i think i only know that hilary clinton and maybe charles schumer are our senators. i’m not sure who our representatives are.

3. Have you ever contacted an elected representative? If so, what was it about?
nope.

4. Have you ever participated in a demonstration?
no, i have a boring life.

5. Have you ever volunteered in an election? What was the result?
nope, i’m not involved in politics.

ok so i have my second finance midterm on friday. i am freaking out. i decided to start studying today because i have become the epitome of a school dork. i printed out the practice midterm. i looked over the three questions and soon realized that i could not solve not one question. this worries me because the last practice midterm for midterm 1 was really easy, but i still didn’t do that hot on the actual exam. i am sooooo freaking out about finance because i won’t be able to go to office hours tomorrow. the professor didn’t post the answer key so i can teach myself how to do these damn problems. i’m so frustrated. argh. i am reading over my notes, and nothing seems to help. these questions are kind of like the hw questions, but they are twisted slightly. this causes me from not being able to solve them! argh. i haven’t really done anything tonight. i did some production hw and laundry. i guess i should take a little break or else i’ll give myself a heart attack. <3

i woke up at 9:15 am today because my parents told me last night that they’d be arriving at 10 am. at around 9:40 they called me and said they would be late. i asked how long, and they said 40 minutes. haha. so here i sit at my computer waiting for them. i am starving, but it’s ok i will be fed today! yay. =) we’re going to go to tessaro’s for dinner. i’m so excited! woohoo. ok well i’m going to see if i should clean up anymore!

it’s finally friday i’m so excited. i’m debating whether going to my finance recitation is worth it. knowing me, i’ll end up going and suffering. who knows maybe my ta will actually teach something useful! i don’t plan on going to marketing or mis. heh. stupid recitation. waste of time i say! hehe. we’ll see. i’ll probably end up going to all my classes because i’m crazy like that. ok off to finance.

oh yeah, my family’s coming to visit me today! yay. i’m excited!
