good morning! it’s finally friday. yesterday i had my one class, social psychology. then i went to work at the library. after work i sold my accounting book. hurrah. i made $65! hehe. after lunch i went to the gym and worked out in a non-air conditioned room. it was sooo hot. i almost passed out. when i came back i immdediately went to shower off. i came back just in time to watch eminem perform. i read later that he had very poor sportmanship when he won “best male video of the year”. hilary, lynne, and i went to see “mulholland drive”. while we were in line waiting we asked the people from the 7:00 p.m. how the show was. they said it was “crazy and confusing”. uh oh! indeed the movie was crazy. i had no idea what was going on. it made “memento” seem like a normal movie. ahh. we left early because the movie was just weird. i just remembered that i have an interview today with the head of the intenational office of education. i kind of hope i don’t get the job so i don’t have to quit my library job. anyhow, off to get ready for fun finance!

whatever.

i went to tarjay today. i bought some things. it was nice. i bumped into a lot of cmu friends there. it was nice. i got to see lynne and julyan tonight. all my girlies are finally back at school. wooha. i can’t believe school starts in a day. oh yeah, i stir fried baby bok choy today. i also attempted to make rice, but it came out hard. i had to cook it two more times before it was cooked. anyhow, i should be going to bed. good night everyone! <3

woo! my boyfriend had dinner with my family and i. we had delicious peking duck. mmm. yummy chinese food. i better soak up all this good chinese food before i go back to crappy pittsburgh with its take out chinese restaurants. hurrah. at least there will be dave & andy’s ice cream. i’m leaving in two days. ahh!

woo no more work for me! i was pretty busy today at work. i had to type up a lot of INS papers. it was ok though. it was my last day so i didn’t mind. my boss gave me my last check. she gave me a bonus! when i first saw the check i was confused because it was so much. then she’s like, “the rest of the money is for your college fund!” woohoo. i said, “thank you soooooo much!” i was so happy. i had no idea she would do that. i stayed a little later to finish some more documents. then we said our goodbyes. =) it was pretty interesting to learn about all this legal stuff. i had no idea about how complicated the process is for one to become a citizen or the selling of a property. my boss mainly does bank closings, real estate, and immigration cases (if you can even call them that).

oh so some lady called the office and i picked up and it sounded like she was speaking mandarin, but i could not understand a word. she sounded very muffled. i kept saying, “i don’t understand” in mandarin, and she continued to speak as if i’d understand her if she kept repeating herself. finally my boss is like ok let me talk to her. i gave her the phone and she amazingly understood the lady. after she got off the phone, she told me that the lady’s mandarin was very hard to understand. she was probably from a different part of china. weird!

in other news, i got my compact flash from amazon.com. woohoo! this time i formatted the compact flash card so it won’t break when i’m in the middle of taking important pictures (like derek jeter and the yankees!) too bad i still haven’t gotten my finance textbook. i called ecampus.com and the lady told me that since i picked the free shipping it could take up to 14 days for it to arrive. my boyfriend might have to come pick up the textbook before he visits me during labor day weekend. i’m hoping the book will arrive before i leave on wednesday. i can’t believe i have to go back to crappy pittsburgh in less than a week. it’s so yucky there. no chinese food! argh.

i watched some tv today. i was watching some movie on usa with mark wahlberg and reese witherspoon. i remember checking the tv guide for the name, but i already forgot. mark wahlberg plays an aggressive stalker/ex-boyfriend. crazy boys. anyway, that’s enough babble for now. <3

not much happened today. it was extremely hot today, but i did not turn on the a/c because i wanted to save money. hehe. i drove to the dr’s again. all by myself. look mommy i can drive! hehe. i only got honked once because i didn’t notice the traffic light change. hurrah. tomorrow is my second to last day at work. wooha. i have to pack tomorrow night. ahhh. school is approaching too quickly. i watched sorority life on mtv. that show is so entertaining. i’m glad i never joined a sorority. those girls are vicious. ok well i have nothing else to babble about. sorry for the boring blog. <3

i have some good news! i am still rooming with tania! hurrah! i won’t be rooming with two freshmen. i’m so happy. tania told me she talked to the stupid guy and that things are ok now. yay. now i’m excited in going back to school. today my family went out to dinner. i had steak and lobster. i figured i’d enjoy one of my last good meals before returning to school and having no food to eat. haha. i’m a starving college student! heehee. i’m relieved that everythign worked out with my roomie. tomorrow we’re going to costco so i can buy some things for school. yay. i’m so glad my parents are home to deal with everything. ok good night. <3

happy one month honey =D

ok now i will respond to merlin’s blog:
last night i decided to take out my little sister for dinner since our older sister ditched us to go to boston. i decided we would go to cheesecake factory and celebrate. also, i was happy that i do not have high cholesterol. the one rule i told my younger sister was that she cannot order a salad. anyway, so we finally leave the house around 7:00 p.m. because my little sister took an hour to get ready (how typical). as i was driving i began to notice the dark clouds moving in. i also noticed that we were low on gas. i told sister that we would have to get gas tonight at some point. we got to cheesecake factory just before the thunderstorm started. i followed my sister into the restaurant. i asked the hostess how long it would take for 2 and she said “20 minutes”. i was amazed because at cheesecake factory the wait is usually at least an hour and since it was a friday i’d think it would be like 2 hours. then i looked around me. right behind the hostess was this bar. i did not recall seeing the bar at the center of the restaurant. next, i noticed there was no upstairs to this restaurant. at this moment, i realized the grave mistake my sister had made. we were at p.f. chang’s china bistro. i must point out that this is not an authentic chinese restaurant. it’s more like a western and eastern fusion restaurant. as soon as i realized the big mistake, i gave the beeper back to the hostess and left. we then went to the RIGHT restaurant. the wait was 55-70 minutes. after hearing that, my sister and i strolled around the mall and looked at stuff. i was very tempted to buy these really nice gap jeans for $58 dollars, but i controlled myself. anyhow, my little sister and i had a great dinner at the cheesecake factory. it was her first time there. driving home was a nightmare because i could not find a full serve gas station. since i don’t drive often, i’ve never had the chance to pump my own gas. i really need to learn. my boyfriend is going to teach me today. haha. woo. now our car has a full tank of gas. woohoo. the weather was very scary. i kept seeing lightning and hearing thunder. craziness! the power must have gone out at some time during our dinner because all our clocks were flashing “12:00″ when we came home. oh well! i’m done babbling about last night. thanks for reading the truth about what happened. <3

wow it’s already thursday! today i had work again. my boss was out of the office for a long time because her mom was in the hospital. her mom’s doing fine though. she was just under observation. anyway, i spent most of my day playing solitaire and hearts. i think i’ve mastered both games! i got to practice my crappy mandarin with this client when we were waiting outside in the hot hot sun waiting for my boss to arrive. i explained to him that she’ll be right here since she usually gets to the office a little after 11 am. i didn’t want to say that she’s usually late, because that would make her look bad. so we just stood there in the unbearable heat waiting and waiting. he asked me where i was from, and i said i was born in ny. he complimented my mandarin (which is kind of scary since my mandarin skills are crappy). diana and i had vietnamese food for dinner. it was very tasty. i had pho. mmmmmmm. we also ordered summer rolls. yummy! on our way to the garage this chinese guy was like “hello!”. he was holding a chinese newspaper, so i just assumed he was just another guy trying to sell something to me. then he’s like “remember me?” and i’m like oh yeah! he drove my family around in shanghai. he also drove me around. he was really nice. diana told him that our parents wouldn’t be back until next week. he said he’d call my dad. hehe. we came home from dinner and i’ve been watering the grass. how fun is that?! hehe. there are slugs in our backyard. gross :~(. oh yeah. want to hear something depressing? i already ordered a textbook for fall semester. how SAD is that? it’s for finance class. our over-eager professor already emailed us and told us which book to buy. i searched online and was about to buy a used book for $65.33 until a friend of mine told me to use half.com. i found books for 53 bucks! dayamn. i hope my book is in decent shape! i also hope the book will arrive before i go back to school. one week before my parents come back! i can’t take it anymore!
